A Message from Bishop Martyn Jarrett

Posted on the 18th December 2018 in the Category - Announcements

This coming year will mark two significant anniversaries for me:

February 2nd will be the Silver Jubilee of my Episcopal Ordination.

June 1st will be the Golden Anniversary of my Ordination as a Priest.

The celebration of the Silver Jubilee will be marked on Friday 1st February at 7.00pm when Worksop Priory anticipates Candlemas with a Solemn Mass at which I will preside and the preacher will be Bishop Christopher Hill.  Many, of course, will be joining in the Candlemas celebrations in their own parishes but if any are free and would like to come and join us in marking this anniversary, I would be delighted to have you join us.

On Saturday 1st June at 12 noon, I will preside at a Solemn Mass in Worksop Priory in thanksgiving for blessings received across the fifty years of Priestly Ministry. The preacher will be the Bishop of Fulham. I would again be delighted to have you join us.  Further details will be published nearer the time.

It would greatly help if I had some indication of numbers in order to cater appropriately at the reception to follow.  Brother Priests of The Society of S Wilfrid and S Hilda are invited to concelebrate.
