Along with countless others, not just in this country, but also throughout the world, we congratulate the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the birth of their son, George Alexander Louis.  We pray for them as a family, that their home may reflect the joy and love of God's eternal kingdom.

God save the Queen.

We join with our Archbishop, Margaret, his wife and family in giving thanks to God for the positive news, following his recent visit to his hospital Consultant.  It is indeed excellent news that he does not need further treatment.  However, we do not cease from praying for him, that God will continue to strengthen him, that he will have a good rest during the month of August, AND that in the coming months God will grant him much wisdom in pacing himself in the duties he undertakes.

On Monday 29 July, hundreds of young people will be heading to Walsingham for this year's Youth Pilgrimage.  Bishop Glyn, who is joining the pilgrimage this year, is very much looking forward to meeting the young people from his parishes.  He writes, “we pray for safe  travelling, then that all may have a great time, worshipping, learning, being with their friends - old and new.  We pray that they will really enjoy themselves, and be inspired by Mary to give their hearts to Jesus.  Pray also for all those organising and leading the Pilgrimage, and for the good weather to continue.......!”
