Independent Reviewer's Report on the Nomination to the See of Sheffield

Posted on the 15th Sep 2017 in the Category - News

Bishop Glyn is grateful to have received Sir Philip Mawer’s Review of Nomination to the See of Sheffield.  He is hugely grateful to Sir Philip for his very careful consideration of the processes, events and circumstances surrounding Bishop Philip North’s withdrawal of his acceptance to serve as the Bishop of Sheffield.

It is far too early to make any detailed comment on the Review.  What we all need to do in the first instance is to give our equal careful consideration of the contents of the Review, then to prayerfully reflect, before making any comments.

In the meantime we continue to pray for the Diocese of Sheffield under the care of Bishop Pete Wilcox, and of course, we continue to pray for Bishop Philip, thanking God for his ministry.
