Bishop John Goddard, has announced that he will be retiring as Bishop of Burnley on 19 July 2014.
Bishop Glyn joins Bishop Tony in wishing Bishop John and Vivienne well for a long and happy retirement, but hopes he’s not hanging mitre for good! Bishop Glyn said “I am sure he will continue to excise a fruitful ministry with the freedom to say ‘no’ when he wishes to. Bishop John and Vivienne have laboured long and hard on our behalf in the vineyard, for which we are hugely grateful.”
