On Saturday 13th June 2026 the Bishop of Beverley’s Children and Youth Ministry Adviser, Jane, organised the third Development Day for the See of Beverley, hosted by St Columba’s Church in Liverpool. Starting with an excellent introduction by Bishop Stephen on the theme of sacramental grace encountered in Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation, we then had a great day sharing encouraging stories and inspiring ideas from around the See.
We were treated to some wonderful examples of the very comprehensive Anglo-Catholic ministry both at St Peter’s, Horbury, and from the home team at St Columba’s. It was a privilege to meet with the children who were preparing for their Confirmation the following day, who led us through aspects of the preparation course they had followed.
